All of us are affected by the worldwide rise in prices. Energy costs are up because of the war in Ukraine and food prices are going up everywhere.

Wirral Council has been given extra cash by the Government to support the most vulnerable. Thousands of families are also getting Cost of Living payments while almost 50,000 pensioner households in the Borough will also receive between £150-£300 on top of their usual Winter Fuel Allowance this year.

  • Support the plan to raise the National Living Wage to £11 per hour

15,460 Wirral residents to get a pay rise

Local Conservatives have welcomed an increase to the National Living Wage for an estimated 15,460 people across Wirral.

The Conservative Government is delivering on its commitment to end low hourly pay for full-time workers on the Conservative-introduced National Living Wage (NLW).

Pension boost for 17,314 in Wallasey and Moreton

It has been confirmed that 17,314 pensioners in Wallasey and Moreton will receive a 10.1 per cent increase in their Basic State Pension from this month.

This increase is a the biggest ever cash increase in the state pension and will automatically be applied to pensioners’ payments.
