Recruit more police to tackle crime in Wirral

Police

More police mean safer streets. Nationally, we have recruited an extra 20,000 officers since 2019 and, locally, we're keen to see more police in this community.

For 18 years, Wirral's Labour Council failed to produce a legally-required Local Plan. This is the document that shows that areas that can be developed (such as run down urban areas) and those which the Council wants to protect.

By failing to have a Local Plan, this enables developers and property speculators to look at building on the more profitable Green Belt.

Your local Conservatives:

  • Work with residents to push for action in crime hot spots
  • Helped to secure 'Public Space Protection Orders' in areas affected by anti social behaviour
  • Support the extension of local CCTV by the council and installation of new 'help points'

Below are some of the news stories related to our work.
