Following the 'temporary' closure of the popular Post Office in Wallasey Village, a petition has been launched to push for it to be urgently re-opened.
Grove Road Post Office has been closed for several weeks, causing inconvenience to local residents. Thank you to those residents who have been in touch with Councillors Paul Hayes, Ian Lewis and Lesley Rennie.
Councillor Paul Hayes said: "There has been massive investment in local Post Offices over the last eight years and they now offer more services than ever. The closure programme of the previous Government has also been stopped.
"That's why we are launching this petition.
"We have contacted Post Office HQ and they have been unable to tell us when Grove Road branch will re-open.
"We need to persuade them to have it re-opened quickly.
"Our petition will show how important this Post Office is to our community."
