Saughall Massie Fire Station

Councillors in Moreton West & Saughall Massie have been notified of proposals to introduce traffic signals on Saughall Massie Road on all approaches to Saughall Massie Community Fire Station. The works are being funded by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service.

The so-called wig-wag signals will be used to warn drivers when traffic has to stop to enable fire crews to exit the station to get to a fire. Associated road markings and signage will accompany these works. A location map of the proposals can be found below.

Any comments may be made on-line by Friday 23 December 2022 at www.wirral.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-travel/roads-and-pavements. Click on “comments and objections about new traffic schemes” quoting the scheme reference number. Please quote ref – DC-2022-DM1.

Alternatively, any comments can be sent in writing to Simon Fox, Interim Assistant Director, Highways & Infrastructure, PO Box 290, Brighton Street, Wallasey, CH27 9FQ quoting the scheme reference number by Friday 23 December 2022.  Please quote ref – DC-2022-DM1.

Council elections are not the same as General Elections. This election is about who works hardest for our community. Many people who normally vote for other parties will be lending us their support this time because they know we work harder for you.
