This #SmallBizSaturdayUK could not have come a more important time.
Many shops and small businesses across Wirral are struggling - from the increased taxes announced Rachel Reeves and the prospect of parking charges being introduced by Labour and Green Councillors in Wirral.
In #Wirral, there anow 7,575 so-called 'micro-businesses' - those employing up to nine people. Sounds alot? It is but it's not as many as there were before Labour's landslide win at the 2024 election.
Since then, 60 small businesses across our Borough have closed.
So what can we do?
First, back our campaign against parking charges. After all, it's good enough for Birkenhead this month, why not the rest of Wirral?
Second, where and when you can, use the local high streets.
Thinking of starting your own business?
The local Conservatives are keen to see more new businesses set up - not only do they create jobs and apprenticeships, but many help to keep our local high streets alive.
