The first vote on the Town Hall's proposals for more cycle lanes across Wallasey takes place on Monday 27 January at a meeting of the Environment, Climate Emergency and Transport Committee.

Residents can attend the meeting and watch as councillors will debate and then vote on the 'Core Active Travel Network', including segregated cycle lanes on:

  • Bayswater Road
  • Breck Road
  • Grove Road
  • Harrison Drive
  • Hose Side Road (pictured)
  • St Hilary Brow
  • Seaview Road
  • Wallasey Road
  • Wallasey Village
  • Warren Drive

Two of the three local councillors for this area, Ian Lewis and Lesley Rennie, do NOT support the proposals due to the:

  • impact on residents, shops and businesses
  • cost of the scheme
  • lack of evidence of demand

We've uploaded the documents that have been sent to the councillors serving on this committee - see the attachments listed below - they are in PDF.
