Do you want action on the junction issues on Saughall Massie Road - such as Kingfisher Way or Girtrell Road?
We know some of the residents do - they've told us in our recent surveys and when we've called on some of the people living in the area.
Why? Because the volume of vehicles using Saughall Massie Road means there are often few breaks in traffic to allow drivers to join the road from roads such as Kingfisher Way or Girtrell Road.
We've looked into the data collected by the Department for Transport in London:
- Back in 2008, Saughall Massie Road had a daily count of 10,962 vehicles
- By 2019, the latest year for which data is published, this had risen to 16,104 vehicles, including 161 HGVs.
We've asked the DfT for the latest figures.
If you back the call by Councillor Colin Baldwin for action by Wirra's Highways Department, starting with a look at the options available, please sign our petition and help to get the ball rolling.
