Have your say on more cycle lanes

CATN

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch following our recent newsletter, following the Town Hall's decision to proceed with more cycle lanes.

We reported on the proposals in our Autumn newsletter, including how people could take part in the Council’s consultation on the 28 different routes making up the ‘Active Travel Network’.

Yet, in spite of that overwhelming response, the Environment Committee in January voted to move to the next phase. Only the Conservative Councillors voted against the plans.

Each of the 28 routes will be ‘phased’ for design, further consultation and then installation. The first route is between Birkenhead and Liscard and that route alone is expected to cost the taxpayer £10 million.

Your local Conservative Councillors would like to hear your views now, and will keep in touch with you as and when we hear more on the proposals.
