A gift in your will is one of the most meaningful ways to support the work of the local Conservatives here in the Wallasey constituency.
Here's why:
- Lasting impact: your legacy gift helps ensure that we can continue fighting for our community long into the future.
- Tax efficient: gifts to registered political parties are exempt from Inheritance Tax, meaning more of your estate goes where you want it.
- Your loved ones come first: a legacy gift only takes effect after you've provided for your loved ones, so they always comes first.
And, unlike the Labour Party which is funded by the trade unions, local branches of the Conservative Party, such as ours, rely on the goodwill of our supporters - whether that's donations, membership fees or a gift in their will.
LEAVING A LEGACY IS SIMPLE...
There are three ways to help the local Conservatives in your will.
- Residuary bequest - a percentage of your estate after other gifts and expenses.
- Pecuniary bequest - a specific sum of money.
- Specific bequest - a particular item such as shares or property.
We recommend speaking with a solicitor to ensure your will is properly drafted and your wishes are clearly expressed. When instructing your solicitor, please use the following details:
- Organisation name: Wallasey & Birkenhead Conservative Federation,
- Address: PO Box 269, WIRRAL, CH29 2GB or email [email protected]
And, if you already have a will...
You can add a 'codicil' to your existing wishes. Simply print off and complete the form below and keep it with your will or, if you have a solicitor holding your will, send a copy to them.
- Simple to complete: fill out the form with your details and have it witnessed by two people
- No need to rewrite your will: a codicil is a legal document that amends your existing will
- Keep with your will: store the completed codicil with your original will and give a copy to your solicitor (if you have one)
If you choose to help us in this way, we will ensure your generosity will be put to good use - promoting our Party and our values in the years ahead to ensure the Conservative Party in Wallasey constituency remains an active and effective political party.
