Jane moved to Wallasey from Warwickshire in 1962 with her family living in Liscard Ward originally but now living in Wallasey Ward in Wallasey Village.
In recent years Jane has played a role supporting children and young people and is a Chair of Governors at a local special school, a local secondary school and chairs the board of a Multi-Academy Trust. She also sits on the board at Edsential, a traded services community interest company formed between Wirral Council and Cheshire West and Chester Council.
Jane was awarded an MBE for services to education in Wirral and was also the recipient of the Wirral Award, an important civic award.
Jane has been a long serving member of Wallasey Conservatives, following in the footsteps of her mother, and is regularly seen delivering leaflets across Wallasey.
Jane’s late mother had dementia and her late daughter had Cystic Fibrosis so Jane’s particular interests are in health, social care and education. Jane is also keen to support local businesses, especially those affected by the pandemic, and to see the regeneration of our shopping centre high on the Council’s agenda.
