Shock as Town Hall agrees sale of flood plain to housebuilder

Wirral Council has agreed the sale of the flood plain at Pasture Road/Ditton Lane to national housebuilder Persimmon Homes (NW) Limited.The land is identified as part of the 'flood plain' between Moreton and Leasowe and is frequently flooded during periods of heavy rain.
