Once Britain has left the European Court of Human Rights, we will be able to implement our BORDERS plan a tougher and more detailed strategy than anything proposed by other parties.
- Deport all new illegal arrivals within a week, and all foreign criminals
- Removals Force established, to remove 150,000 per year
- Ban asylum claims for illegal entrants
- End the Immigration Tribunal, Judicial Review and legal aid for immigration cases
- Returns agreements backed by visa sanctions

We announced our Deportation Bill in early 2025 and are now able to go further developing stronger policy on legal immigration, enabled by Lord Wolfson’s review and our decision to leave the ECHR.
We will also end the boroughs of sanctuary. Labour and Liberal Democrat-run councils are spending millions of pounds on preferential services for refugees and asylum seekers through Borough of Sanctuary schemes. This deliberately undermines the law on immigrants' entitlement to benefits and is deeply unfair to hardworking local residents who pay for services that others receive for free or at a discount.
