In September, Fuel Duty will rise for the first time in 15 years, in spite of fuel prices already going through the roof. The Chancellor, Rachel Reeves, announced the 5p per litre increase as part of a series of tax rises.

However, the war in Ukraine and now in Iran means that drivers in Wirral are already paying more at the pump.

Unlike the Chancellor rethinks her plans, we all face the double hit of rising petrol prices AND higher fuel tax.

That's why we're demanding Rachel Reeves scraps her planned Fuel Tax hike.
