Paul was elected as a Conservative Councillor for Wallasey Ward in May 2007 and re-elected in May 2011. Paul has worked closely with Lesley Rennie and Kate Wood to ensure that Wallasey Village Library was kept open and spoke at the Public Inquiry in defence of this community library which serves so many in our community.

Paul is a Governor at The Mosslands School and is a member of the Planning Committee at the Town Hall. Paul is also Vice Chairman of the Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee and Chairs the New Brighton and Wallasey Area Forum.

Paul was called to the Bar by Middle Temple in October 2009 but is currently non practising and is working in the Civil Service.
