Conservatives lost seats in Liscard, New Brighton and Leasowe in Thursday's Council elections but increased their majorities in Moreton West & Saughall Massie, where Chris Blakeley was re-elected and in Wallasey Ward, where Leah Fraser was elected. Across the Wallasey constituency, the Conservatives won 40.5% of the vote (an increase of 9.1% on the General Election) while Labour secured 47.5% (down 4.3%).
